This book was a disappointment; the illustrations were not up to standard for a book of this kind, the writing was pedestrian and the printing too small for comfort. The writer had nothing new to offer on the topic. There are better books about balcony and roof gardens.

This book contains very creative ideas for gardening in small spaces. Its give us suggestions to create a very beautiful terrace, balcony, or even small pots. Jenny Hendy gives us many ideas to trellising, installing water features, choosing the best basket. It’s a stimulating book. The photos are so beautiful, that the book is recommended even to those who like, but don't have a garden. I think it's the best book for people who want to transform a small place into a beautiful garden.

Lots of ideas have been introduced but limited to outdoor decor ( pots, furniture, accessories, color schemes, etc ). Cutesy gets old after a while. There is very little guidance on growing plants on balconies.
